Industrial Maintenance Technician

Coming in 2018, Apollo will offer individuals seeking to achieve a career Industrial Maintenance skills training. This program will prepare students to obtain OSHA 30 Safety certification and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Recovery Universal certification. Students will complete a 648 hour curriculum that provides advanced training in:

  • Occupational Safety
  • Hydraulics/Pneumatics
  • Industrial Mechanics
  • Single Phase Circuits
  • AC Motor Controls
  • Machine Control Systems
  • PLC’s
  • HVAC

Students that qualify may participate in externships throughout the program.   Certified Industrial Maintenance Technicians are in high demand. By completing the Industrial Maintenance Technician program students will have the skills area business and industry are requiring. Tuition includes classroom materials, supplies, exam preparation and certifications.

Requirements:  Students must submit official high school transcript, Work Keys assessment and AcuMAX

Apollo offers customized training for area business and industry in several program areas.  We can provide high quality skills training at your company or on Apollo Career Center’s campus.

Articulation Agreements

Apollo has articulation agreements which link the classes taken at Apollo with courses offered at State supported two-year colleges. The intent of the articulation plan is to recognize student achievement in career programs by providing advanced placement at the college level. The advanced credit earned reduces the number of credit hours needed for a degree. Students will not need to re-take classes already completed.

HOW DO I BEGIN?

ArrowSTEP 1:  Contact the Program Manager to schedule a meeting.
                     This is an opportunity to find out more about the program, tour the facility, meet other staff, and discuss program requirements.  
                     Should you wish to enroll at this time, you will fill out the proper enrollment forms, and the manager will schedule you for the Work Keys entrance test, which is required for all Full Time students.

ArrowSTEP 2: Begin your financial aid by filling out the FAFSA at home. Click Here
