Spa Technology

Apollo now offers individuals seeking to build a dynamic career in the Nail Technology and Esthetics industry a unique option. This dual licensure program will help prepare students to obtain credentials in both Nail Technology and Esthetics with the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology.

Students will complete an 800 hour curriculum that provides advanced training in

  • manicuring
  • pedicuring
  • artificial nail enhancements
  • skin care practices
  • makeup application
  • hair removal
  • anatomy
  • safety
  • chemistry
  • infection control practices

Students may qualify to participate in clinical internships throughout the program. In addition to working in a salon or spa, licensed Nail Technicians and Estheticians are in high demand throughout the travel industry and in various physician offices. Students will gain experience in salon operations and build skills that they can apply to their careers as an independent contractor. Prior to program completion students will have the opportunity to obtain additional certification as a Certified Tanning Operator and a Relaxation Massage Certification.

Tuition includes classroom materials, supplies, exam preparation and Ohio State Board of Cosmetology examination application fee.

Spa Technology – Getting Started

HOW DO I BEGIN?

STEP 1: Contact the Program Manager to schedule a meeting by clicking “Meet the Manager”.
This is an opportunity to find out more about the program, tour the facility, meet other staff, and discuss
program requirements.

Should you wish to enroll at this time, you will fill out the proper enrollment forms, and
the manager will schedule you for the Work Keys entrance test, which is required for all Full Time students.

STEP 2: Begin your financial aid by filling out the FAFSA at home. Click Here
You can do this at any time; even before Step 1.
STEP 3: Once you have been accepted into the program, you will receive an acceptance letter, email, or phone call.
