What is the GED?

The General Educational Development (GED) tests give students the chance to earn a diploma that is equal to a high school diploma. This diploma is important for people looking for a job or continuing their education.

The GED test has five subject areas; Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Math. The questions on each of these tests requires you to use general knowledge and thinking skills.  The GED test is designed to measure the important information and skills learned during four years of high school.

Classes are FREE to help you prepare for this test.  In order to register for classes and receive help, we offer orientations in five counties the first Monday and Tuesday of every month.

Please click on the enrollment link which will give you a list of our locations and orientation dates and times.

You must be 18 years old to take the test.

The fee for the test is $120. When applying for the test (https://ged.com/) you can request a one-time $80 voucher to lower the cost to $40 by calling 419-998-2938.
